OUR NEXT 3 WEEK COURSE STARTS MONDAY 9th MAY

Our Beginners Muay Thai courses are for students who are new to the sport and are looking to learn and develop the fundamentals and foundations of Thai Boxing. The course sessions run twice per week for 3 weeks and will introduce the stance, footwork, clinch, and of course the 4 striking weapons of Muay Thai - the punch, kick, knee, elbow.

Each Muay Thai beginners class is 1 hour long, with the first 15 minutes preparing the body for Muay Thai training through a series of cardio, conditioning and mobility exercises and dynamic body stretches. The remainder of the session is dedicated to learning and practicing the fundamental techniques of Muay Thai, through shadow boxing, pad-work, bag-work and partner drills.​

OUR 3 WEEK BEGINNERS COURSE INCLUDES:

• 6 x coached Muay Thai sessions (covering footwork, stance, range, striking, defending & countering)

• 1 x FREE fitness class* OR open gym pass to be used throughout the course.

*valid for Warrior Fit, Warrior Flow Yoga or Boxing Fitness classes only.

• Men & women who have done some training in the past and are looking to refresh their knowledge.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1Do I need my own boxing gloves?
If you're just starting out training and don't own your own boxing gloves, you are more than welcome to borrow some from our spares box. We have plenty of spare gloves at the gym for people to use free of charge, however if you plan to train regularly we would strongly advise investing in your own gloves. We do have various gloves available to purchase at the gym or if you'd prefer to order your own but would like some advice or recommendations - just speak to our coaches and they'll be happy to help.
2What do I need to wear for training?
We recommend shorts / leggings and a t-shirt - but any comfortable gym clothing will do. We will be training barefoot on foam mats, so no need to worry about footwear.
3Will I need a gumshield / mouthguard?
Gumshields are only required to be worn for sparring and advanced level training. Our beginners classes are predominantly non-contact (ie: pad work / bag work) and we won't be doing any head contact sparring so you don't need to wear a gumshield for training (unless you really want to)
4Do I need to come with a partner?
Absolutely not! Most of our beginners course participants sign up to come on their own. You'll be training with a group of like-minded individuals and so if you come alone and require a partner for the drills - our coaches will pair you up with an appropriate partner. If ever there's an odd number of participants - one of our instructors / current members will usually join in too!
