MUAY THAI CLASSES FOR WOMEN


Learning Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) is a really fun and sustainable way to get in great shape - and more importantly stay in great shape! It's the perfect antidote to boring gym workouts and uninspiring legs, bums & tums classes!

Similar to kickboxing, Thai Boxing training is an outstandingly effective workout for women - burning hundreds of calories and developing a shapely, well-toned body. Unlike a general fitness class, where you're 100% focused on "exercising", Muay Thai training provides you with an intense cardio & body conditioning workout - but you'll be so focused on improving your punching, kicking and kneeing technique and landing those badass combinations - you may actually forget you're exercising!

Known as "the art of 8 limbs", Muay Thai is an excellent and highly enjoyable way to improve aerobic and anaerobic fitness by working all the muscle groups. Thai Boxing classes will not only keep you physically fit, it'll keep you mentally fit - busting stress-levels and making you feel energised and empowered.

Our beginner friendly Ladies Only Muay Thai classes are for women who are looking to get in the best possible shape, while learning and develop fundamental Thai Boxing techniques. Classes introduce the stance, footwork, and 4 weapons of Muay Thai including the punch, kick, knee, elbow.

Our Ladies Only Muay Thai classes are 1 hour long, with the first 15-20 minutes preparing the body for Muay Thai through a series of cardio, conditioning and mobility exercises. The remainder of the session is dedicated to learning and practicing the fundamental techniques of Muay Thai, through shadow boxing, pad-work, bag work and partner drills.​

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1Do I need my own boxing gloves?
If you're just starting out training and don't own your own boxing gloves, you are more than welcome to borrow some from our spares box. We have plenty of spare gloves at the gym for people to use free of charge, however if you plan to train regularly we would strongly advise investing in your own gloves. We do have various gloves available to purchase at the gym or if you'd prefer to order your own but would like some advice or recommendations - just speak to our coaches and they'll be happy to help.
2Is this class suitable for older women?
Their is no upper age limit on our classes. If you are physically fit and able to exercise - you can join in our Muay Thai classes no matter what your age!
3Is Muay Thai just like Kickboxing?
4Are the classes beginner friendly?
Yes! Absolutely. You dont need any previous martial arts experience. Our ladies only classes are suitable for total beginners. We have a great community of warrior women who train with us and everyone helps each other to progress.
5Do I need to come with a partner?
No, its not necessary to come with a partner. Most women come on their own and if need be our coaches will pair people up based on experience level, to ensure everyone gets the most out their pad-work and any partner drills.
